A Dream Come TRUE for Mary!

Growing up on a ranch in South Dakota, Mary Jane shared a one-of-a-kind bond with her horse, Cinco. While Cinco turned his nose away from most people, he chose Mary Jane and her dad as his own—and from then on, the two were inseparable.

Mary's wish to reconnect with the joy of horse and rider became reality. She spent cherished time with Ace the Clydesdale at Cedarhurst of Des Peres enjoyed a cowboy-style lunch, and visited Hermann Farm for a magical Shire horse experience.

Tears of joy filled the room when she first learned about her Dream Come TRUE!

A heartfelt thank-you to JFP Equine Clydesdales and Clydesdale Fred for helping us bring Mary Jane’s dream to life.

The dedicated "Nancy Suite" at the corporate office honors her legacy by providing a supportive space for new mothers returning to work.

The culmination of our Making Dreams Come True horse experience was a visit to Herman Farms where we engaged with and acquired knowledge of the Shire horse, a rare and majestic breed of 'gentle giants' that are an endangered draft breed larger than Clydesdales. The day drew to a close with a relaxing Shire horse-drawn carriage ride through the beautiful, picturesque and scenic farm while we learned about the history.

We planned Cedarhurst of Des Peres as a way to bring seniors together. To foster a sense of community and connection between residents, caregivers, and staff. That’s because we want Cedarhurst to be the best place you can imagine living. A place providing life-enriching activities, exceptional dining and expert and compassionate caregivers. A place providing a safe environment for seniors in the community they already know and love. And a place where it’s always your life, your home, your way.

With 26 assisted living apartments and 34 memory care apartments, each resident is able to enjoy the independence they want and the care they need in the comfort of a home-like environment. Our expertly trained staff provides support based on the level of care that is needed. Each resident has a customized care plan based on conversations with the family, physicians and our caregiving team.

From the services and amenities to the staff and the building itself, our entire community is here to empower our residents to live life every day with joy and fulfillment.
