Why does heARTful wellness matter?
Being well at a heART level means that we are practicing living our best, healthiest, most empowered lives where we reclaim Self-care and lean into the power of community and collective care.
Why is a heARTful wellness workshop different from other types of art class experiences?
heARTful wellness workshops are art therapist designed and facilitated by a registered art therapist and licensed professional counselor in the role of a mindfulness facilitator. Rather than being project or product focused, heARTful wellness workshops are all about using visual and expressive arts modalities (e.g. collage, watercolors, oil pastels, textiles, and more) to cultivate connection with Self and community. All that is needed for humans 18+ is an openness to being creative--no specific skills or knowledge required to participate. heARTful wellness workshops are about cultivating Self-trust and more connection with our minds and bodies through practicing creative mindfulness. A mindfulness intention guides the time together, and tips are provided to support participants practicing creative wellness outside the workshop. Creative wellness requires practice. heARTful wellness workshops are an opportunity for us to practice together.
