Last week, Family Care Health Centers Community Health Workers (CHW) team visited the Lake of the Ozarks for the annual Community Health Workers Association of Missouri Conference. While there, 's CHW team enjoyed learning sessions, networking, and collected TWO awards!

🏆 - Yolanda Shelton, CHW, received the Community Health Worker of the Year: Urban award. She was celebrated and thanked for her continued commitment to learning new skills and strategies to best serve individuals and communities, while always bringing an unmistakable spark into every space she visits that helps people recognize their own strengths that they often overlook.

🏆 - DeAnthony Henderson, BA, CHW, received the Effective Communication Strategy award. DeAnthony was acclaimed for his calm, steady presence that helps clients feel grounded in the midst of overwhelming and difficult life situations, and his communication skills that continue putting people at ease.

MAJOR congrats to our who won awards and our entire CHW team whose work improves the health and wellbeing of so many in St. Louis each year! 👏👏👏
