✨Trust the process✨Trust your injector✨

The first photos show filler that has migrated. Migration can occur for many reasons and will likely occur to some extent if you have had your lips injected multiple times. I have dissolved migration that occurred after other injector’s work and I have dissolved migration that occurred after my own work.

Migrated filler can create an undesired border(filler mustache) in the tissue outside the lips, it can cause protrusion of the lips giving them a duck like appearance, it can create a ridge along the wet/dry border of the mouth and sometimes even look lumpy and bumpy or asymmetrical.

The patient above scheduled an appointment for filler. She wasn’t liking the appearance of her lips as much as before and thought she needed more filler to correct it. She was a little nervous when I pointed out the migration and educated her on the process of dissolving, but she trusted me and agreed to my treatment plan.

We injected Hylanex to dissolve the migrated filler above and below her lips at that appointment, allowed two weeks for her lips to respond to treatment and heal, and then refilled them 👄💖 look at them now!!!

It is common to feel nervous if your appointment goes differently than planned, but your injector has your best interest at heart. Sometimes we have to tell you no or go another route in order to get you the best outcome ☺️
