“Is my board certified surgeon really doing a deep plane extended facelift or Deep Necklift?”
“Are they really doing in their rhinoplasty?”
“Are they barely stumbling through these procedures, or working with as much mastery and finesse as the best surgeons in the world?”
Buzzwords sell, and everyone wants a deal!
That is a setup for mischief.
Unscrupulous (or undereducated) surgeons will tell you they are using the most advanced techniques, and that they are executing them just as well as the top surgeons in the field - for a fraction of the cost and a much shorter wait!
How do you know if they are telling the truth?
The unfortunate answer is that you can’t directly confirm if what they are telling you is accurate unless you could somehow educate yourself (formally, not Google U Class of 2023) on the procedures well enough that you could do them yourself, go watch the best in the world for a few days, and then go watch your surgeon for a few days to see if they compare. Of course, that would require going through a grueling process in excess of 15 years, which is not realistic.
How about hiring a surgical consultant? Is that a shortcut to the answer?
Respectfully, no.
Even after all my training, board certification, and my first few years of practicing surgery independently, I was still not in a position where I could observe true masters and understand the nuances of what I was seeing.
I thought I was.
I was wrong.
So how can you know if your surgeon is full of hot air?
True masters’ names become synonymous with the techniques they employ.
True masters allow other surgeons to observe from them and learn from them.
True masters have nothing to hide, and if they were not performing at the very top levels, they would instantly be called out by the thousands of sets of eyes that scrutinize their hands, moves, techniques, and results every day.
