Consumer Directed Services (CDS) is a program in Missouri that offers home care services for individuals with physical disabilities and or elderly. Caregivers assist care recipients in living in their own homes, providing services that promote independence and freedom compared to residing in facilities or institutions. CDS empowers care recipients by allowing them to manage their own care needs and hire caregivers tailored to their specific requirements, all funded through Medicaid to alleviate concerns about additional medical expenses.
