[03/26/20]
Good Morning PS Kids Families! We hope this post finds you in good health. Thank you for your patience over these past two weeks. If you are an existing family, you should already know our current plan, but if not, please accept our apologies and contact our office or your therapist(s) with any questions. We will get you caught up. While some things have settled nationwide, many things are still changing, or are just up-in-the-air.
As of today (March 26) “teletherapy” (computer-based) services are available to all existing PS Kids’ families. Until last week, teletherapy was new to most of us, but we are embracing it. We’ve had some really exciting feedback, but understand that it may not work for all families. It is worth trying.
Our plan is to slowly resume face-to-face therapy services at our clinic. Monday, April 6 is our target-date, but that will depend on National and State guidelines. If it is not safe to resume, we will not move forward. When we return to the clinic, we will limit the number of children and therapists present at one time. We will base everyone’s return on a variety of safety and health factors. Services will look a little different for a while. You may have a different time, day, or even therapist.
We are doing our best to get things back to “normal” as quickly as possible but we are taking baby-steps to help ensure everyone’s well-being. We are trying to keep everyone informed, but if you ever need clarification, we are just a phone call or email away.
We know many of you are struggling, and we are actively working on a resource list for you (this will be a separate post). Thank you for your support and understanding. We wish you and your family all the best during this tough time. ~Your Friends at PS Kids
