MO HealthNet Coverage Alert

More than 90,000 children in Missouri have lost their health insurance coverage through MO HealthNet, effective Aug. 1. Many families may not be aware that their coverage has been terminated. If your child is insured through MO HealthNet service providers, please read the information below:

Once a child has been dropped, parents have 10 days to respond and 30 days to renew without a gap in coverage or they MUST reapply online. Families can check their status on the website

Families can contact the Department of Social Services (DSS) Family Support Division at 1-855-373-9994 for assistance.
Families must complete the online MO HealthNet enrollment packet.

Families need the following information to reapply: name of child, physical mailing address, child’s date of birth, telephone number, social security number, departmental client number (DCN), income information (paystub)

Do You Need a Bike?

This year’s Bike for Kids event is just around the corner!
Variety’s Bikes for Kids - November 17 from 10:00 a.m. – 12:00 p.m. - Parkway Central High School.

Each year, Variety the Children’s Charity gives out standard Huffy bikes to children with disabilities.
Started in 1996, the Bikes for Kids Program has provided more than 2,950 bikes to children with disabilities. The purpose of this event is to give children with intellectual and physical disabilities (medically diagnosed) the chance to ride a bike like every other child. We would like to provide your child with a free standard bike!

To obtain a Huffy bicycle, please complete the request form –link within the Variety Blog below and return to Robin Diehl ([email protected]) by October 8, 2018. (**Deadline may be extended, please contact Robin for details.) We can provide bikes for children ages of 4 to 21. The smallest size is 12” and the largest size is 26”. Please note this when measuring children. There will not be tricycles given.
