Whether they’re your study buddy, couch potato or campus companion—we want to see them! 📸

Let’s give our furry (or scaly or feathery) friends the love they deserve. 🫶

We encourage everyone to check this out and contact their lawmakers. There isn’t going to be an end to independent pharmacies closing in the absence of reform.

We need your help! So far in 2024, about 10 pharmacies have gone out of business EVERY day across the country...because of Pharmacy Benefit Managers (PBMs).

A federal bill to regulate PBMs is up for vote in Congress this week and we are afraid it won't pass. PBMs are the absolute worst kind of corporate insurance companies. PBMs are nothing more than middlemen who insert themselves between your actual health insurance company and your pharmacy. Just a few things that PBMs are responsible for:

-inflating drug costs (America is the ONLY country with PBMs and has the highest drug costs in the world)
-refusing to cover less expensive generic versions of medications
-forcing prescriptions to have prior authorizations or not covering certain medications at all
-requiring people to use a pharmacy they don't want to use (usually one owned by the PBM)
-forcing pharmacies out of business by underpaying them

Please scan this QR code or follow the below link to send your legislators a message, asking them to support this legislation. We need everyone to let Congress know that pharmacies can't continue being paid under cost for medication. Make sure to enter your address and it will automatically select your legislators!

This link makes it easy to contact your state senators regarding important legislation pertaining to PBMs and their practices. If you appreciate independent pharmacy and or being able to chose where you get your prescriptions, this kind of shift in the legislative landscape is vital.
