🤝 Stronger Together: Supporting Families Across St. Louis

IHN and our partners are continuing to stand with our community during this difficult time. Last week, we provided 500 hot meals and 900 cans of infant formula to families across St. Louis City and County — and we’re keeping the effort going to help even more neighbors in need.

Our friends at the St. Louis Area Foodbank are rallying the community to help neighbors impacted by the government shutdown and lapse in SNAP benefits — and we can all pitch in to make a difference.

Join the Community Food Drive this Saturday, Nov. 8, from 9 AM – 2 PM at The District STL (East End of the parking lot, 17057 N Outer 40 Rd, Chesterfield, MO).

They’re collecting non-perishable food and personal care items to support families across our region. Every can, box, and bottle helps keep our community strong.

With SNAP and WIC benefits disrupted for thousands of Missourians, IHN and our partners are stepping up to support families in need. Together with local FQHCs, we’re providing 500 hot meals and 900 cans of infant formula to help those most affected.

🌟 Congratulations to Atara Estes, IHN’s Senior Community Health Worker (CHW) Strategist, on serving as a keynote speaker at The Power of WE: Collaboration Between Doulas and Community Health Workers Conference earlier this month in Portsmouth/Norfolk, Virginia. 👏

The October 9–11 event brought together doulas, CHWs, and advocates from across the country to celebrate collaboration, mentorship, and the strength of community. Atara’s message reminded attendees of the importance of unity and purpose in serving others — a true reflection of the Power of WE. 💛

🎃🚒 The Fire Safety Falloween Trunk or Treat has a new name — and a new date!

Join us for the St. Louis Fire Department Halloween After Party on Saturday, November 1, 2025, from 2:00 PM – 5:00 PM at 1421 N Jefferson Ave, St. Louis, MO.

Enjoy an afternoon of candy, games, fire safety tips, and over 50 decorated trunks! Bring the whole family, dress up in your best costume, and celebrate the season with our local heroes at this fun-filled community event.
