Mahdi Doula - Postpartum Care

My purpose is to provide the proper educated and nurturing assistance for the well being of the infant(s) and mother. Through this assistance I offer the much needed relief, to the mother in her time of healing, as well as comfort and care to the newborn(s), along with the knowledge and information needed for the mother to make the best informed decision regarding herself and the newborn(s). Also,

I provide education and guidance to the family, to improve the cohesiveness of the family to encourage a group effort in caring for the family's new addition(s).

* Price Range: $20-$30 per hour
* I offer a sliding scale and pro-bono services for those who qualify. Sliding scale & Pro-bono info:
- The sliding scale is based off of Net Income.
- Pro-bono service is offered to one family a month. Please call for more details.

Hours
- I service a minimum of three days a week at 4 hours, for day and evening shifts. Overnight shifts are eight (8) hours (with some flexibility).

- The minimum of 8 hours is required for each client.

- When hired, prenatally, I do require a non-refundable retainer for services. Please call to review a copy of the Postpartum Doula Agreement outlining retainer fees and additional limitations.

As a Postpartum Doula, I provide all or any of the following for your new family:

- Assistance with newborn care and feedings
- Assistance with mother's postpartum healing
- Meal preparation
- Overnight support
- Support with multiples
- Support with perinatal mood & anxiety disorders
- Light housekeeping tasks
- Assistance with sibling adjustment
- Errands
- Household organization
- Companionship
- Community resources and professional referrals

~ Special package with additional charge:
- Education package includes:
~ Infant eye stimulation $15 *per 4 hour session
~ Early communication such as baby sign language $25 *per 4 hour session
~ Early motor skills development $20 *per 4 hour session

* Footnote: These special services are not on a set schedule. Said services will be explained in detail during consultation.
