We had the privilege of representing another deserving client through another jury trial in the City of St. Louis. Our client was seriously injured in a clear liability crash, but the corporate defendant denied responsibility, despite its own driver admitting it! Our client was willing to accept $650,000.00 to resolve it without a trial, but the Corporation only offered $100,000.00. After a two-day trial, the jury valued it at $800,000.00.

As always, we are grateful for the opportunity to represent our clients, and also for the members of the community that take time out of their lives to take part in our civil justice system.

We're happy to announce that our client was able to avoid trial in September after the insurance company agreed to pay the policy limits of $1,250,000.00. Initially, it offered only $40,000.00 which required my client to file a lawsuit and for us to push the case to the brink of trial. Similarly, we were supposed to go to trial a few weeks ago, but the we were able to get it resolved a few days prior to trial for $1,500,000.00. After several years, they had not made any offers until we were two months away from trial. It's important to show the other side you're serious and that you have lawyers that aren't afraid to go to trial.

After several years, we were finally able to get my client's case to trial. Initially, the insurance company offered $44,000.00 (a couple thousand more than the medical bills without accounting for any lost wages). They offered $100,000.00 a few months before trial. My client turned it down and chose to let a jury decide. I am honored to share that the jury valued what was taken from my client at $1,383,000.00. This outcome is a powerful reminder of the importance of our civil justice system and the dedication of jurors who carefully considered the facts and rendered a value on the harms caused by the Defendant. Thank you to the jurors for their service and commitment to fairness. Our justice system works because of people like you!
