I’m so grateful for all the trust families place in me. And because of that, I only have one spot remaining for families due this year!
I’m so excited for what 2026 will bring! I’ve already started filling for births all the way into March. So if the new year is bringing you a new little one, now is the perfect time to set up a consultation!
I come to you for the consultation (unless you choose a remote option)! We get to discuss all the private wishes you have for your birth & what you hope to gain from doula support in the comfort of your own home. And it’s free!
We discuss all the ways my support could enhance your birth experience. Did you know my clients:
-have a much lower need for medical pain relief?
-have lower rates of cesareans?
-have a higher satisfaction with their experience overall?
-have high rates of breastfeeding?

If you’d love to learn more, go to my stories or bio & find the link to fill out my contact sheet. I’ll get back with you right away to set up a time to meet!

This morning I got to witness a mama welcome her baby into this world completely unmedicated, less than 20 minutes after getting to the birth center. And baby came on her due date!
She came to me with baby #2 wanting something totally different than the medicalized hospital birth she had with her first.
She planned so well & welcomed her baby so calmly. Contractions started out inconsistent. I suggested some inversions & then things escalated into quickly driving to the hospital.
It was such a blessing working with this sweet family!
This was my last client due for July! Hopefully it’ll be slower in the next few days before the Aug/Sept baby boom takes off!

This morning I was so blessed to witness another little one enter this world, safely at home, in the water.
This mama had to do a lot of hard work to get her baby here. This birth proved that not all second babies are butter babies, even when the first birth was quick & efficient. This baby decided to be OP & ended up weighing 9 lbs 4 oz! This mama had prodromal labor for a week. And then a tricky labor that took a while to get going. But despite it all this mama was laughing, smiling, & making her hard work look light. It was such an honor to support this family!

It was such a blessing getting to witness this sweet little one be born this morning!

Very early yesterday morning a little guy made his debut at just 37 weeks!
This was a client who came to me later in pregnancy. Summer tends to be busy so I offered to co-doula with to support this mom.
I’m loving these co-doula arrangements anymore! Two doulas team up, each doing a prenatal meeting to ensure the client knows each doula well. And we can share birth duties as well if need be.
With the little guy coming a bit earlier than expected, I was able to initially be at the hospital to help with the beginning part of the induction but had a meeting later that day that I could not miss. So Natasha relieved me & came in for 15 of the 18 hours! This mama did this hard work unmedicated! She felt well supported every step of the way.
While it’s not the typical setup & it can seem daunting having more than one doula, the clients that end up utilizing this arrangement love it!

Everybody I meet is amazed to learn how old my children are (I’m not as young as some think I am but love the compliment that I seem less than 4 decades old🤣). And today the oldest one becomes even older if you can believe it😂
TWENTY TWO years ago this guy made me a mama! This birth was proof that you can be young & have an unmedicated birth without intervention.
This guy is my creative one. My creator & musician & scholar. He’s now my art school grad & graphic designer.
Time truly is a thief! Snuggle those babies! Bc someday that babyness will just be a memory!

And then this baby came two hours later! It was the original birth I was trying to get to when my tire popped while I got on the highway! This mama took it all in stride, she was comfy & waited patiently. Although in all it was a quick delivery for a first time mom induction. Thankful both these mamas were at the same hospital.
Birth is truly unpredictable, these birthday buddies were due two weeks apart! Very thankful for backups willing to leave at a moments notice!

Today was another popular birthday! And another first for me, trying to deal with a flat tire while trying to get to one birth & support another laboring mama over the phone. I have to say, not as good as yesterday’s first, catching a baby😂
But this baby’s mama came to me wanting a completely different experience than her first birth. She was willing to switch care to midwives. And do the work to get this second baby into a good position!
After some slow simmering contractions all day, things really took off early evening. After my husband had to replace my tire on the highway (after hours of waiting for roadside assistance!) I made it to this mama just in time to do some apple shaking & side lying release. After that we booked it to the birth center & she arrived pushing! Baby was born 30 minutes after arrival!
This mama was so strong & level headed through it all. She knew the right time to leave her house & what to do to bring her baby here completely unmedicated! It was such an honor serving this family💕

Welp in almost a decade of this work, it finally happened. I caught a client’s baby.
I’ve talked moms through having babies over the phone. I’ve had my hands out and came really close a few times. But in all these births I’ve never been in the position to be the one to have to do it.
This mama planned a home birth. I was her doula last time, with her 6th baby, & first VBAC two years ago.
This time things seemed to be slowly simmering. Baby was presenting with her back on the right. After almost a day of inconsistent contractions I offered to pop in to help mom do some exercises to hopefully get baby to move. 30 minutes later she was here!
Mom’s water broke a mere 10 minutes before her arrival. Contractions were 9-10 minutes apart. And mom was super chatty….until she wasn’t. Then baby!
Thankfully her midwife was close & on the phone. Mom handled it all like a champ.
Births like this just prove, there’s no right way for a birth to look. They can be so unpredictable & surprising, even when you think you’ve seen it all!

.
If a provider starts doubtful discussion about your hips or pelvis during prenatal appointments, that’s a good sign to RUN. No seriously, time to hire someone new. There is no evidence to support making any predictions or interventions based on the perceived “size” of a woman’s hips, frame, or pelvis.

None.
Zip.
Zilch.

All comments like that tell us is how very ignorant that “expert” is in basic female physiology and the physiological birth process.

Unless a woman is *severely* malnourished (we’re talking rickets), has sustained a complex pelvic injury, or has a significant deformity, her pelvis or hips should not enter the discussion of her “ability” to birth. That is, of course, unless the discussion is the provider exclaiming over just how ✨magnificent✨ it is that her pelvis moves and shifts at the end of pregnancy and all throughout labor to accommodate the birth of her perfectly sized baby through her perfectly sized body.

I recently heard a woman recounting that during birth the OB on call was predicting her “bony” pelvis wouldn’t be able to birth her baby.

First: I should hope her pelvis is bony. It’s LITERALLY MADE OF BONES.💀🦴

Second: The pelvis moves, opens, and changes shape during pregnancy and birth. Its size can even be intentionally influenced by the mother, opening an additional 30% depending on her position! (Note: Flat on your back is NOT one of those positions.)

Third: She went on to birth her baby through that bony pelvis just a few hours later.

If there are signs during labor or birth that there are positional issues or baby needs some adjustment or a nudge, there are lots of techniques to implement to help that baby through. Good doctors, midwives, and doulas know when to wait and when to suggest a position or two to help things along. But the vast majority of women will instinctively get into the best position in the moment when labor is not messed with and when her body has the physiological freedom to do so.

God didn’t forget about your hips, sister. He designed every detail of your body and of birth, your beautiful bony pelvis included.

Our Story

Babies and mothers intrinsically know what to do during the birthing process. As a doula, I am there to provide them the reassurance and tools they need to birth as they were meant. I am also there to help families embark on a journey of a healthy and mindful pregnancy. I teach the benefits of being prepared for your optimal birth long before setting foot into the birthing space. And I help partners connect deeply during the pregnancy. The most important person in the room with the birthing mother is their partner, as only they can bring the magic of love and deep connection into the birthing space. I teach partners how to support the mother during pregnancy and labor, so that they can take the place that they need to when the time comes. I am blessed to have such an amazing calling and look forward to helping your family start a new chapter in your lives!
