Rodent damage on moisture meters is a common service issue that we deal with. Those pesky creatures can damage any of the 14 cables that these units use to operate. To replace these cables, it also requires the removal of 43 screws. Which can be a time consuming process.

Today, we honor James B. Mitchell, CW03 SW/SS, a retired member of the United States Navy. James joined the Navy in 1988, volunteering to serve for submarine duty. During his 23 years of active duty, he served on the USS Batfish, USS Oklahoma City, USS Hyman G. Rickover, and USS Arleigh Burke, in addition to duties with Navy recruiting, Comsublant in Norfolk, Virginia, and for the Atlantic Fleet Ammunition Logistics.

James started working at Precision Scale soon after he retired from active duty and has been with the company for over 10 years. He enjoys the challenges of the scale industry and working in different environments. Outside of work he stays busy with his four grandchildren and likes to fish when he has time to relax. James often will tell other technicians and customers “Early is on time, on time is late”.
