A SIZZLING SUMMER!

This summer has been a whirlwind. It is honestly crazy that it is halfway through August and school is about ready to start. If I am ready for one thing, it's that! This summer has been full of moving, settling, and trying to find a new balance to the everlasting struggle of doing it all. I really and truly think I love to torture myself. In all the best ways.

The new space is really special. I have been really humbled with all of your support, extra miles driven, and continued loyalty. I realize Ellisville is a lot further for my city folks, but I truly do appreciate you all making the trip here. It has been a life changing thing for me. Being so close to home has given me so much freedom to be more present at home, fix lunch at home, and truly find my stride in being an over achiever. I really do thank you all for being a part of this transition with me.

I wanted to keep this short and sweet. Just like summer. I have a few really important things to share with you all for the upcoming.

It is finally happening. After 4 years we are finally getting the opportunity to visit "home" and see our family. It is a relief, a sign of comfort, and a much needed way to reconnect. I am truly looking forward to the opportunity to connect. My schedule is pretty full up until I leave and booking up for October. I highly urge you to prebook for the remaining part of the year. HAPPY NEW YEAR 2025

IT'S GOING TO BE A WICKED GOOD YEAR!

Hope everyone is having a happy, healthy, and safe new year. With all the winter weather we have had, I know the reviews are mixed! Thursday was my first day back to work after two weeks off and I feel like a new person. It was so good to step away for a while and rest. I was able to accomplish a lot at home, enjoy quality time with Yuli, see Wicked in theatres, and celebrate an epic birthday with close friends from all walks of life. It wasn't the big blowout I once imagined, but it turned out perfectly. The timing of my birthday is always poetic. A new age and a new year always seem to put me into the right mindset. Now just trying to maintain that! I am always excited to flip a new page and find new ways to be a better version of myself. I am not one for resolutions, but I am certainly one for recreation. This year I am determined to create a better balance between work, home, and social. I am hoping to make more plans for reconnecting with others socially and trying a bunch of new places in town. I designed every room in my home with a specific purpose in mind and promise to read books, not screens. Life at 40 hits different.

I am still on a mission to find a suitable home for the spa in the new year as well. For many of you who knew, I was planning a move across the street into a property that was significantly smaller and still within the neighborhood. Some obstacles arose and I decided to follow my gut on it. This is a major phase of my healing mindset going into the new year. I am better at listening to myself and others. I am taking time to make better decisions rather than jumping in to things that I haven't fully considered. Including my own thoughts and opinions! I am sure that I will find a perfect place to call "home" that will allow me the path to a more balanced being while still staying true to all I have created. This excites me greatly and I am lucky to have a wonderful relationship with the building owner here. Practicing gratitude for all of the many things I have to be thankful for is life changing. It is so easy to fall into feelings of despair with the state of the world, but this year I am thankful more than ever for all of the extreme challenges along the way. Even spending the past 6 days with a 9 year old with the flu. Nevertheless, she persisted!

NOPE, NAH, or just plain no will do.

It’s so easy to get sucked in to the vortex. So easy to find yourself swaying from the stuff that really matters. Once you’re in, you’re in. It can be so hard to find your way out.

This year has been really difficult to navigate. We’re in a weird spiral of uncertainty and feeling vulnerable never felt more awkward. If you haven’t experienced this wave of anxiety, I’m truly jealous. Give me the tools. ⚒️🤣

One simple reminder for all of you stuck between a rock and a hard place. Just say NO. No to people. No to things. No to negative spirals. No to reliving trauma. No to explaining your political stance. No to the news. No to the way Instagram makes you feel. No to victims of their own narcissism. No to fake people. No to defending yourself. No to someone swearing by bar soap or sunscreen in their makeup.

Whatever it is, just say NO. NOvember is here and she’s already ready to be rejected with anything that doesn’t serve you. NO apologies either. 🙅🏻‍♀️

Fall is Here! Pumpkins are out!

Hello everyone! I can't believe it is already 10/4! Per usual, my newsletter is a little late, but so am I half the time! Better late than never. I wanted to collect a few thoughts for this month and send them out with the newsletter. As always, thank you for excusing typos, grammar, or whatever else comes your way here. I am the ultimate multitasker.

One, I just wanted to let people know the next 3 weeks are packed with Jewish Holidays. All of which I am taking off for. Even though it was a really-really hard time celebrating the Jewish New Year this year, I took Wednesday off and forced Ornir to get out of the house. Traditionally we cook, invite friends, and celebrate the sweetness of the year to come. It just seems awfully hard to get in this headspace right now. Although many people look at this situation with varying outlooks, I just wanted to let you know how difficult it has been trying to maintain normalcy in my personal and professional life because of this. It was a blow to the gut at first, but I have definitely seen a shift in business this year and have been forced to embrace it. I can't change who I am and how this affects me. I know that my authenticity isn't for everyone. I know that understanding this pain and trauma is also not for everyone. I truly understand the perception so many lack when trying to imagine something like this being your reality. I look at each one of you as way more than a customer. I am always as open as possible in explaining my reality when asked. It has been a very hard year for my family and each and every one of them is still displaced from their home. They are in hotels with constant rocket fire overhead and spending the holy days inside of a bomb shelter rather than around a table with family. It has taken a toll and I think everyone should know it is not easy for me to compartmentalize at times. The best way to wrap this topic up is to continue enforcing the boundaries of differing opinions, criticism, or any political discussions while receiving facials. It is just too exhausting and hard to talk about rationally. For me this situation is very personal and just hits different. I was just featured on another news 4 story talking about this. Almost 1 year ago the jewish people suffered the largest slaughtering since the holocaust. We must come together. This month is a very hard one for me. Two, with the above topic being so heavy I have decided now is not the right time to have an event for Halloween. I would really-really like to plan a fall/holiday shopping event and will keep you posted.

Three, please know that starting November I will be off on most Thursday's to be able to take my daughter to dance. As she is getting older I have found an extreme amount of hardship in balancing her school schedule, her tutoring, dance, and girl scouts! Then add in my own schedule and we are really a pair. I am hoping in the new year to solidify a new and permanent schedule, but may have a bit of inconsistency there for the remaining part of the year. If you have an appointment in the future on a Thursday, don't worry. If I need to change it, you'll hear from me.

Four, I am taking off the last two weeks of the year. I will be off with my daughter on her winter break from 12/23-1/7. I want so badly to spend the break with her without the need for babysitters. I also want to turn 40 in peace. HAH! Just good old fashioned fun for me and Yuli. These two capricorns need some bonding and birthday time. That being said, I would kindly ask you to set up November and December appointments now because once they're gone, they're GONE. My schedule is live on the booking site and if you are an established client, text me to fill you in to avoid any stress on your part. Please look at the openings and text me the date, time, and service requested. If you don't get a confirmation, text me again!
