Happy first day of sophomore year to training client Kate!

After being recruited to play hockey, Kate is starting a brand new journey at Shattuck-St. Mary's School in Minnesota, one of the top US boarding schools for hockey.

Kate has been working with Mike since Fall 2024 on strength, speed and agility. She also had the opportunity to work with our summer intern Ethan on her off-season strength and conditioning program.

We can't wait to hear about your adventures at the new school and are so proud of your hard work! Go get 'em girl!

On August 19, 2002 owners Scott and Robbie Van Nest first opened the doors of Sports Medicine & Training Center in Webster Groves. In 2012, SMTC outgrew its Webster location and moved to Crestwood.

On this 23rd anniversary, the staff of SMTC is happy to continue providing quality physical therapy and training services to the St. Louis community.

Food pantries all over the St. Louis area are receiving less donations and dealing with higher food prices. Consider a donation to our Isaiah 58 Ministries Canned Pasta drive to help one of the organizations on the front lines of feeding those with food insecurities!

We are seeking canned pasta with meat such as beef ravioli, spaghetti and meatballs, lasagna with meat sauce, etc. Every 5 cans you donate enters you into a SMTC Prize Package.

This is this last week of our donation drive. Help us meet our goal of 250 cans of canned pasta!

Earlier this week Mike & Keli represented SMTC at the Lindbergh Schools Back to School Expo. They happened to pick a lovely spot right in front of the coldest air conditioner Keli had ever experienced. Thankfully, Mike had a Mike-sized pullover for her to wear. Thanks Mike and have a great school year to all the teachers in the Lindbergh district!

Starts Monday July 21:

SMTC will be collecting canned pasta with meat for the recipients of the food bank in south city.

Our goal is 50x5: 50 cans per week for 5 weeks!

Anyone who donates 5 cans will be entered in a raffle to win a prize package! No entry limit. Open to all, regardless if current patient or client.
