IDMC Announcement: Launch of Bi-Monthly HPP Regional Readiness Coordinator Call
We are pleased to announce a new initiative led by IDMC the HPP Regional Readiness Coordinator Call, now scheduled for every two months.
This recurring call brings together Hospital Preparedness Program (HPP) coordinators from across all states to:
- Share program updates
- Discuss regional challenges
- Identify emerging trends
- Foster collaboration and support
Our goal is to establish a consistent and reliable forum for open communication, early identification of concerns, and the exchange of best practices. These calls are more than just logistical updates—they are a space for problem-solving, creative thinking, and mutual support.
We recognize the complexity and demands of our work, and this platform also serves as a professional space to candidly share frustrations in a respectful and constructive manner. By leaning on each other’s insights and experiences, we continue to strengthen our HPP community and enhance coordination across regions.
We look forward to your participation and the continued growth of this valuable initiative. Please contact Micheal Cooper at Michael.Cooper@tn.gov with any questions.

IDMC stands with its partner MedGlobal during this difficult time and offers our sympathies.

IDMC stands with its partner MedGlobal during this difficult time and offers our sympathies.

We are devastated by the loss of our colleague, Yousef Lubbad, 31, who was killed during the recent attack on the Zeitoun area of Gaza.

Yousef served with commitment as a warehouse security guard, safeguarding the vital supplies that make MedGlobal’s humanitarian work possible.

His death is not only a tragedy for his family and loved ones, but for all of us at MedGlobal and in the humanitarian community. It is also a stark reminder of the risks faced by humanitarians every day in Gaza and around the world.

As we mark World Humanitarian Day tomorrow, we remember Yousef and countless others who risk everything to serve humanity.

We call for an end to the blatant and brutal disregard for the most fundamental principles of International Humanitarian Law: the protection of civilians including aid workers.

We grieve the loss of our colleague and urge those in power to act for humanity.

🎆 Happy Fourth of July! 🇺🇸

On this special day, the Interstate Disaster Medical Collaborative (IDMC) would like to extend warm wishes to all our friends, supporters, and fellow Americans. As we come together to celebrate the birth of our great nation, let us also take a moment to reflect on the importance of safety and well-being.

While we enjoy the festivities, let's remember to prioritize the safety of ourselves and our loved ones. Whether you're attending a fireworks display, hosting a backyard barbecue, or spending time outdoors, please keep in mind these essential safety tips:

🔥 Fireworks Safety: If you plan to enjoy fireworks, make sure to follow local laws and regulations. Always keep a safe distance, never attempt to relight a dud firework, and have a designated adult in charge of handling them.

🍔 Food Safety: As you indulge in delicious Fourth of July treats, remember to practice proper food safety. Keep perishable foods refrigerated, avoid cross-contamination, and ensure meats are cooked thoroughly.

☀️ Sun Protection: If you're spending time outdoors, protect yourself from the sun's harmful rays. Apply sunscreen, wear a hat and sunglasses, and seek shade during the hottest parts of the day.

🐾 Pet Safety: Our furry friends are part of the family too! Keep them safe by providing a quiet and secure space away from fireworks, ensuring they have proper identification, and never leaving them unattended near open flames or hot grills.

At IDMC, our mission is to support disaster medical response and preparedness efforts across state and international lines. We understand the importance of safety and well-being, especially during times of celebration. Let's make this Fourth of July memorable for all the right reasons.

Wishing you a joyful, safe, and happy Independence Day! 🎇

Interstate Disaster Medical Collaborative: Reaffirming Our Domestic Focus
The Interstate Disaster Medical Collaborative (IDMC) was originally founded to enhance emergency preparedness coordination among U.S. states, emphasizing shared planning, training initiatives, and funding opportunities. Over time, our mission expanded to include international disaster response and humanitarian efforts, showcasing our adaptability and global impact.
However, given the evolving landscape and increasing uncertainty in federal and state funding, the IDMC Board has decided to realign with our original domestic focus. We remain deeply committed to fostering collaboration among our partners across the country and will share further information soon. We look forward to re-engaging and building resilient systems together.

Велика подяка Give to the World за підтримку цієї програми.

On this World Refugee Day, we honor the resilience of displaced people and reaffirm our commitment to standing by them — wherever they are.

When Serhii, an internally displaced man from Donetsk, came to the MedGlobal mobile clinic, he carried many symptoms of the trauma of war, including sleepless nights, anxiety, and fear that resurfaced with every loud sound.

Through our mobile clinic’s psychological support, Serhii learned to manage the stress that haunted him using guided breathing, emotional stabilization exercises, and personalized coping strategies.

Now, Serhii is reclaiming moments of peace — time with loved ones, small joys, and dreams for the future.

Thank you, CO «Light of Hope»/БО «Світло надії» for your cooperation.

Many thanks to Give to the World for your support of this program.
