Explorers from the Kinloch and Northeast Fire Protection Districts recently attended the 2025 BCOC Symposium and Conference as part of our Explorer Program. This hands-on experience helps prepare and motivate the next generation of fire service professionals.

Come out and support the future of the fire service! Join us this Saturday from 1–5 PM at the Northeast Fire District (7100 Natural Bridge Rd) for our Car Wash & Fish Fry Fundraiser!

We’re raising funds for our Explorers and youth programs—every plate and every car wash helps support their training, gear, and educational activities.

RIP

We’re saddened to learn of the death of Driver Gary White, who died in an off-duty traffic accident. Brother White had been with the Memphis Fire Department since March 1998. May his family both at home and the fire station be comforted during this difficult time.

It is with deep and profound sadness that the St. Louis Fire Department announces the line-of-duty death of Firefighter Lee Kraus, a 27-year veteran of the department.

Firefighter Kraus suffered a medical emergency while on duty Sunday, June 29, 2025, and passed away today, July 1, 2025.

His decades of service to the citizens of St. Louis reflect a life of dedication, sacrifice, and honor.

Please keep his family, friends, and fellow firefighters in your thoughts and prayers during this incredibly difficult time.

Funeral arrangements will be shared as they become available.
