The Virginia State Police have issued an endangered missing child alert after an 11-year-old New Kent County girl went missing Sunday.
Alexis Cartwright was last seen at the Cumberland Children's Hospital in New Kent, and may be in the custody of 55-year-old Lemuel Cartwright. Alexis is believed to be in danger.
Alexis is described as a white female, 5 foot 3 inches weighing 137 pounds. She has sandy blond hair and blue eyes, and was last seen wearing a blue Aeropostale coat, yellow/green shirt and blue jeans.
Lemuel Cartwright is described as a white male, 6 foot 7 inches tall, with brown eyes and brown hair. He may be driving a blue 1993 Dodge Ram pickup truck with North Carolina plates XYZ – 8450.
They may be headed to Bath, North Carolina.
Anyone with information is asked to call police at 1-800-822-4453.
