I am pleased to announce my talk for the Missouri Lawyer's Assistance Program (MoLAP), 'Narcissism In The Legal Profession' on November 1, 2024, in Jefferson City, Missouri.

Last year, I spoke to MoLAP on 'Trauma In The Legal Profession', discussed the Task-Performance Stress Curve, and how Compassion Fatigue, Secondary Traumatic Stress, and V-PTSD may dramatically alter an attorney's capacity to represent her/his client(s) in litigation, informing legal professionals of the Ethical vulnerability they face and the potential for Civil Liability when their caseload and cognitive load is overworked.

This year, I will discuss Healthy Narcissism, Unhealthy Narcissism, Pathological Narcissism, Narcissistic Defenses, Narcissistic Abuse, and how Domestic Violence Victims are uniquely vulnerable when engaging in custody litigation (both men & women). I will itemize these vulnerabilities for the Missouri Legal Profession, to assist Attorneys, GALs, and Judges with allowing themselves a deeper dive into the psychodynamics of varying Bias, Projection(s), Transference, and Countertransference as they appear in custody litigation.

1) Everybody is a genius, and that
2) If you judge a fish by its ability to climb a tree, it will live its life,
believing it is stupid.

Hero to sooooo many. I bought RBG action figures for two young women a couple years ago; one wanting to work in non-profit management as a Social Worker and the second wanting to address social justice issues as a Licensed Attorney. They, among many others, will emulate different aspects of RBG's values and will carry on her legacy.

As I grew tired of posting these articles I wondered how many US employers have fired UHC, Cigna, BCBS, Aetna, and WellPoint as it becomes clear that they have good cause. Or, perhaps this is not a concern of US employers or our Federal Government.

A federal judge in Northern California handed Minnetonka-based UnitedHealth Group a major defeat in a lawsuit over access to mental health care. The count found the pressure to reduce costs infected company policies governing mental health coverage.
