The Cardiac Neurodevelopmental Outcome Collaborative (CNOC) and the Congenital Cardiac Research Collaborative (CCRC) want to partner with parents of children with congenital heart disease. Our goal is to create a family-centered approach that guides research, education, and awareness around developmental follow-up. To do so, we need to hear about what is important to parents and what their experiences have been around their child’s development. We have designed a brief survey for parents to share their thoughts on this topic.

Attached is a flyer with a QR code to the survey. Please consider partnering with us by completing the survey. Please also share this survey with others. We want to hear from as many parents as possible!

What a child experiences in school goes far beyond books and learning—it's where they begin to form their identity and believe in their own worth and abilities. How is your heart child doing in school? Academically, socially, physically? What supports might be available at school, and how do you obtain them? Join us this Thursday 5/1/25, 7-8pm, for a virtual webinar, "Empowering your child's education: A parent's guide to understanding IEPs and 504 plans for children with CHD."

Our Story

At the St. Louis Children’s and Washington University Heart Center, our goal is to treat your children and return them as quickly as possible to you – where they belong. We care for more children with heart disease than any other center in the region. In many cases, we are creating the new standards of care for children with complex heart conditions. The Cardiology and Cardiothoracic Surgery team at St. Louis Children’s Hospital provides diagnosis and treatment of acquired heart problems and congenital heart disease or heart malfunction in children.

Family-centered care, innovation that saves lives, getting children back home sooner: These are just a few of the reasons why The Heart Center leads the way in the Midwest.

Why Choose The Heart Center?

When you bring your child to The Heart Center, you are coming to a hospital that is known for:
