When we feel hungry, a lot happens to our bodies. We not only get in the thought process of "what should we eat," we start searching for it; our stomachs growl, head will hurt. We get anxious; some times flustered, and if we wait, long enough, any type of food will do.
Oh, but once we are satisfied or full, we feel much better. We get comfortable; can think clearly; can address other concerns, some of us even get lazy and won't do a damn thing. We see whatever happens next as optional. Why? Because a critical need has been met...
Relationships operate the same way. When people are "hungry," they will make a way. They will call; be available; find all the time in the world to pick up money they asked you for or receive a favor... will damn near make you believe you are the "end all-be all" to their lives...AHT AHT, don't fall for it.
Believe me, once they get FULL off you, you will see a different person. They will begin to operate in a space of option and privilege. Won't call as much; won't be available, too busy, have other friends; didn't invite you, they forgot...until they get hungry again.
Make sure the people you choose in your adult life aren't hungry. People who are full live life out of choice, not obligation. It's better to be wanted, than needed.
