There are many opportunities to volunteer your time, knowledge, and experience within the paraoptometric community. If you are interested in making a difference, review the committee descriptions under the "Volunteer Opportunities" found on the website https://www.aoa.org/education/paraoptometric-resources/paraoptometrics-and-staff-membership . A link to the volunteer is provided. Volunteer forms may be submitted any time of the year as length of commitment may be flexible. CPC is looking for paraoptometrics who want to be involved in the test development process, from writing items, reviewing items, and joining the test development committee. We also have open positions for a few people who would be interested in approving continuing education courses for paraoptometrics to use when maintaining their certifications.
