The first ever Photos with Santa at Northwest HealthCare is off to a very merry start! We hope that everyone who comes by has a great time and enjoys the hot cocoa and cookies. Mr. and Mrs. Claus will be here until 3:00 pm this afternoon.
Last year, Christian Hospital partnered with the Salvation Army to begin the Pathway to Health program, an initiative that addresses the lack of access to affordable care, the need for increased health knowledge, and chronic condition management, while also working to eliminate socio-economic barriers in North St. Louis County.
The program's community health workers work within the community to identify and eliminate the barriers to health that their clients face, with the goal of teaching them how to properly manage their health – while decreasing the number of non-emergent emergency department visits in the area.
Watch how Brittany Betts makes a difference as a community health worker.
