Keeping Kids Safe: Stories from 40 Years 💙 Charlotte McClure

We are honored to share a conversation with Charlotte McClure, a longtime volunteer whose decades of service have helped shape the heart of the Crisis Nursery. From leading the Best Friends Group (now Hearts & Hands Volunteers) to serving as Razzle Dazzle Auction Chair, Charlotte has created countless moments of connection, generosity, and joy for our community.

After retiring, Charlotte knew she wanted to give her time to an organization focused on preventing child abuse and found her way to the Nursery. What stayed with her was the dedication of the staff… and the results. Over the years, she’s seen firsthand how the Crisis Nursery shows up for families in moments of need and how those families go on to thrive and give back.

“I value results over activity. The Crisis Nursery produces results.”

Charlotte’s story is a powerful reminder that showing up, year after year, can make a lasting difference in the lives of children and families.

IFM CEO Dr. Buck is speaking at the Social Action Leaders of the Archdiocese of St. Louis this evening as their topic this month is healthcare resources for the underserved. Pope Leo’s quote that health care is a “moral imperative” - a basic human right - resonates with IFM’s mission and programs. Thank you to the leaders here tonight for bringing resources to those in need in our shared community.
