Dr. Campbell and Flannery are out on this cold day picking up some medical office furniture donations from Esse Health to refresh several of our community clinic spaces! IFM is always looking for donations of new or gently used medical office equipment and furniture or new/unused medical supplies so we can minimize these kinds of expenses and have more resources for our patients. Thank you to Esse for thinking of our organization for this donation! If you have something you think may be of use to us to donate, please reach out to us at ifmonline@ifm-stl.org. Oh, and if anyone has a more appropriate winter hat to donate for Flannery - we'll take that too! St. Louis Cardinals

It's hard to believe, but IFM's Community Connections Health Clinic, in partnership with - DePaul Health Center, has been open for 2 years! In those two years, our clinic has seen nearly 1,500 individual patients and provided more than 4,500 appointments for people searching for affordable, accessible primary care in the Bridgeton/North County area. The Connections Clinic, located at 11280 St. Charles Rock Road, provides a primary care home that can treat acute and chronic medical conditions and provide preventive care including annual exams, work/school physicals, immunizations, and screenings. Our patients enjoy our caring and attentive staff and homey environment (our clinic is literally in an historic house that was once the home and practice of a physician in the 1920s!). If you or someone you care about is in need of affordable care - maybe un or under-insured, unable to find a provider who will take you, experiencing excessive wait times for care, or just looking for a place where you will be treated like you matter - call the Connections Clinic at 314-546-4321 for an appointment. HAPPY BIRTHDAY CONNECTIONS CLINIC AND STAFF!

If you over-indulged with alcohol over the holidays - you may want to consider celebrating . Abstaining from alcohol for 30 days or more can increase your energy, improve your skin, decrease your caloric intake, and give your organs a chance to heal. It can also help you identify if your relationship with alcohol is problematic. We found this great article from the Cleveland Clinic that touts the benefits of this new year's resolution and provides some tips how to stay on track!

Nicki Stonich, one of our two fall interns from Washington University in St. Louis stopped by today to bring us donuts to say "thank you" for being her practicum organization. Nicki and our other fall intern, Analiese Knight-Ward (also pictured) helped IFM with several special projects including social media and educational materials development, survey creation and administering, and researching the health conditions of our patient population. THANK YOU to both these wonderful young ladies for their work! We wish them the best of luck as they finish their degrees and join the public health workforce!
