Happy World Hypnosis Day!!
Maybe it’s not just a coincidence that World Hypnosis Day comes right at the beginning of the year. We all just went through what could be a somewhat stressful holiday season for many and are finally getting to the point that we can relax, calm down and gain a bit of normalcy in our lives. Or are we?
Sure, this is the time of year where we all come up with our New Year Resolutions but let me ask…. Are they the same one’s you had last year? For the last several years running? How about finally getting a handle on them and actually doing something about it.
Did you know that 70% of smokers want to quit? They just don’t know how. There’s a very scary prescription medication for smoking cessation that was originally approved for depression. Is that a solution you want to pursue? I’ve seen medical studies that showed ni****ne gum and patches are actually detrimental to your quitting. And “cold turkey” has less than a 6% chance of working. I tell clients that when they call to schedule an appointment, they’ve done the hardest part and that was to pick up the phone and make the call. I quote the average of 80%-90% success rate with just one session but more often than not – it’s one and done.
Weight Management. My clients can usually identify two or three things that if they could just get their behavior change around them, they could lose the weight they want – or need. I call a diet a four letter work. They’re almost always doomed to failure. You’re doing something you don’t want to or asked to give up something you want. What if you didn’t want that second helping? What if you didn’t want those sweets? What if you didn’t want to snack between meals? You’re not doing anything you don’t want to do, you’re doing exactly what you want. Losing weight doesn’t have to be a battle. It’s all a matter of changing your mind.
And how about all that stress in your life? People will tell you to pull up your boots and deal with it but that’s not always easily done. Stress is a multi-billion dollar problem in the United States with heart attacks, high blood pressure, strokes, etc. It doesn’t have to be that way. I like to ask clients when they come out of a hypnosis induction if they feel any stress right then. Never. Stress is a learned behavior and anything you learn – you can unlearn.
And how about all the others….. fears, phobias, sports enhancement, confidence building, sales motivation, child behavior modification.… and the list goes on. Check out my website at https://www.AnewHypnotherapy.com and see all the possibilities that are available with hypnosis.
