Serving at-risk infants in MO & TN, we provide a safety net for families in order to prevent infant mortality. We all need a little help.

Our Home Visitors provide pre/post natal assessments, health screenings, parenting education, counseling, material support, and more. Since 1991, Nurses for Newborns (NFN) has been providing family support services through our home visiting program. Our Nurses, Community Health Workers and Licensed Clinical Social Workers provide pre/post natal assessments, health screenings, positive parenting ed

ucation, counseling, referrals to community resources, material support, and more. Pregnancy and parenting are not always easy journeys. Together we can help you and your baby have a healthy start.

At Nurses for Newborns, we know that a safe, clean home environment is a vital part of caring for a baby — and sometimes it’s the smallest items that make the biggest impact.

A big thank you to the National Charity League – Spirit of St. Louis Chapter!

We’re so grateful to these incredible volunteers who spent time in our warehouse helping us organize shelves and sort through essential supplies. Their efforts make a real difference to ensure that our home visitors can quickly grab what they need to support the families we serve.

From diapers to developmental items, having an efficient, well-stocked space helps us respond with care, speed, and heart. Thank you for being part of that mission and for showing up with such generosity and spirit!

What’s your go-to ice cream flavor? We’re still debating over here… but one thing we can agree on is our recent Ice Cream Social was the sweetest! 💛

We celebrated a little early at Nurses for Newborns with scoops, spoons, and lots of smiles and let’s be honest, a few sticky hands too. It was a much-needed moment to slow down, laugh together, and savor the joy that comes with being part of this amazing team.

Today on National Ice Cream Day, we’re raising a cone to connection, community, and a little whipped cream on top. ❤️🍦❤️

July is National Minority Mental Health Awareness Month, we believe that every caregiver deserves to feel supported — emotionally and physically — as they care for their baby. Mental health is a key part of that support, especially during the critical early days of parenting. Through our in-home nurse visits, we provide compassionate care that includes emotional check-ins, guidance, and connections to trusted resources tailored to each family’s needs.

This month, we reaffirm our commitment to helping all families thrive — by listening, showing up, and ensuring that no one feels alone in their journey.

☀️ July is UV Safety Month! ☀️

Babies have especially delicate skin, and too much sun exposure can be harmful—even on cloudy days. That’s why our nurses and home visitors help educate families on how to protect their little ones from harmful UV rays all summer long. 🧢🍼

Here are a few quick tips for keeping babies sun-safe:
🕶 Keep infants in the shade whenever possible
👒 Use wide-brimmed hats and lightweight clothing
⏰ Avoid direct sun during peak hours (10 a.m.–4 p.m.)
🧴 Talk to your pediatrician before using sunscreen on babies under 6 months
