Our Little Haven

We are relentlessly committed to providing early intervention services for children and families. Now, most of our Cookie Jars are pretty full.

Our Little Haven is a beacon of hope for children and families- the kids and families are overwhelmed, the system is "broke" and often there is no place to get help. OLH invites the community to help through early intervention services. To help explain the beauty of Our Little Haven here is a simple story. We believe when we’re born, God gives us a Cookie Jar and with each positive experience - each hug, each high-five, each success – we get a cookie in our Cookie Jar. At about ten years old (the ending of our formative years) our Cookie Jar gets sealed up and what we have in our Jar is what nurtures us for the rest of our lives. The Haven Kids, well, their Jars are empty and it’s our honor to fill them. That’s what the community does – helping to fill Cookie Jars.

🎓 A Milestone Worth Celebrating 💛🎉

This August, our Our Little Academy Day Treatment program celebrated another group of children graduating to kindergarten!

These incredible kids worked hard to build emotional regulation, social skills, and trust — skills that will serve them for years to come 📚

Behind the scenes, there was joy, pride, and a whole lot of cheering 🥳
And just as we waved goodbye to our graduates, we welcomed new little friends ready to start their own journeys 🧒👧

It’s a beautiful reminder of why early intervention matters.

🔍 Family Connections Matter

At Community Family Services, we believe that every child deserves the chance to grow up in connection with people who care.

Through DORS — Diligent Ongoing Relative Search — our team works to locate and engage relatives for children in foster care. These efforts help children build a sense of belonging, and help families reconnect during some of the hardest moments they may face.

Because every child deserves connection, and every family deserves support.

Today, we proudly celebrated our Our Little Academy Day Treatment graduates - children who have worked so hard to reach this milestone and are now ready for their next big step: kindergarten.

Graduation at OLA is a meaningful process. Each child spends 12–15 months with us, receiving individualized mental health treatment and support designed to help them grow socially, emotionally, and behaviorally. Along the way, they form friendships, build skills for school, and learn how to navigate big feelings.

The day is filled with traditions: families gather for our "End of the Year Movie," a joyful compilation of the year’s memories. Backpacks - filled with school supplies and personalized notes from our staff - are given to each graduate, a symbol of their readiness for the next chapter.

We couldn’t be more proud of these incredible kids and their families. They’ve faced challenges, overcome obstacles, and made tremendous progress. As they step into kindergarten, we know they carry with them resilience, confidence, and a strong foundation for the future.
