Shout out to KAK client, Riley McGuire who is having an outstanding season while persevering through a significant medical issue. I am proud to have coached Riley both with the AFA Fillies and in private strength & conditioning sessions. Few of my clients are more dedicated to keeping their body as strong & as high-performing, such discipline! Best of luck on the rest of the season & beyond! 🙌

Life is full of full-circle moments if you care to notice them! Shared the sidelines today with one of my former students from the SLU Masters in Athletic Training Program…Jay was in my last class of my 5 years of teaching at SLU, one of the best! Proud of him as he now works as a physician extender and PRN AT for Athletico, helping cover our needs this weekend for Webster University. Great to see you, Jay!

It’s not uncommon for athletes during a game, but not at a news conference. It turns out there was a very heartwarming reason behind it.

I will continue to share this every year! Because it’s just as true today sadly as 8yrs ago.

I will continue to share this every year! Because it’s just as true today sadly as 8yrs ago.

On this International Women's Day, was pondering equality in the workforce tonight at my first lacrosse game of the season...had an official's first words to me be "so, what are you, like, an orthopedic surgeon wanna-be?" I took the opportunity to educate this man on not only the profession of athletic training, but explained that I owned the practice that provided medical services for these 100 boys playing here tonight and 2 other programs just this spring. I couldn't help but wonder if he would have said the same had I been a man. Or maybe it's the age thing. Or just the continued lack of knowledge of the athletic training profession. Whatever the reason, I continue to be astounded with the lack of respect for young(ish) female professionals. Here's hoping for a change...keep up the good fight! Night all. 😴
