Tomorrow is the last day to view "The Sun Is Still There Behind the Clouds" which debuted more than 2 months ago in the cold winter of 2025.

I have been learning to receive the outpouring of critical appraise about our show, that people have gone back mutiple times and brought frienda wih them. I am utterly beyond thankful for these artists i got to work with and for my community of creatives and activists that made this exhibition more powerful with their presence and support.

I hope the show has served as a balm during these violent times, a reminder of ancestral resilience and the power of creativity to truth telling.

It was a joy and honor to lead this art therapy workshop:
"Return ti Hope; Exploring Ancestral Resilience"
Appreciate everyone who made it out through the stormy weather, tornado warning in effect and brought sacred mementos to discuss ancestry through meditation, reflection and creative expression.
Here are some visual highlights from this experience.

There is still one more week to view the art show "The Sun is Still There, Even Behind the Clouds" that inspires the themes for this workshop. Thanks to for hosting us.

Return To Hope: Exploring Ancestral Resilience Facilitated by Eileen Cheong
Wednesday April 2nd, 2025 from 3-5PM

This workshop offers the opportunity for participants to reflect on themes from the exhibition "The Sun is Still There, Even Behind the Clouds" on view at Kranzberg Gallery (Saturdays 12-4PM) through April 19th. Exploring one's own relationship to ancestors and their stories of survival, participants are invited to bring an object of remembrance, a journal, and any materials they'd like to use for creative expression. Some supplies such as felt, yarn, adhesives, natural materials, magazines, and coloring implements will be available as well.

A sliding scale of $15-$35 is asked to cover costs, with no one turned away for lack of funds. All ages welcome. Please register at www.eileencheong.com by March 28th.
