Hemorrhoids can show up in more ways than most people realize — and many suffer in silence because they think it’s “normal.”

Common symptoms include:
• Itching or burning around the a**s
• Pain or pressure, especially when sitting
• Bright red blood with bowel movements
• A lump or swelling near the opening of the re**um

If any of this sounds familiar, you don’t have to just live with it. Pelvic physical therapy can help address the habits and muscle patterns that contribute to these symptoms.

Hemorrhoids don’t just happen out of nowhere — they’re usually the result of repeated pressure on the veins in the re**al area.

Common causes include:
• Constipation and straining
• Pregnancy and childbirth
• Prolonged sitting on the toilet
• Heavy lifting
• Poor coordination of the pelvic floor during bowel movements

When these pressures add up, the veins can swell and become painful. If hemorrhoids keep coming back, it’s a sign something deeper may be going on — and pelvic physical therapy can help address the root causes.

🌿 New moms deserve care too — not just their babies.
The 4th trimester (the first 12 weeks after birth) is one of the most important — and most overlooked — stages of recovery.

If you're dealing with:
✨ Pelvic or low back pain
✨ Leaking when you sneeze or laugh
✨ Pressure or heaviness “down there”
✨ Pain with sitting, standing, or intimacy
✨ A weak core or diastasis recti

…you’re not alone, and you do NOT have to just “wait it out.”
Pelvic floor physical therapy can make all the difference. 💛

This week’s blog breaks down why every new mom deserves pelvic PT — and how it supports healing, confidence, and comfort after birth.

Hemorrhoids are more than just an uncomfortable topic — they’re swollen veins in or around the re**um and a**s that can cause itching, burning, pressure, and even bleeding.

They often show up during pregnancy, after childbirth, or when we strain with bowel movements — but they don’t have to be a normal part of life. Understanding what’s happening is the first step toward real relief.

If hemorrhoids are interfering with your comfort or confidence, pelvic physical therapy can help you address the root causes, not just the symptoms.

Feel like your bladder never fully empties—or notice dribbling after you think you’re done? This may be overflow incontinence.

A simple tip that can help is double voiding: after you finish p*eing, pause, relax, and try again a few seconds later. This can help your bladder empty more completely and reduce lingering leakage.

If incomplete emptying or frequent dribbling keeps happening, it’s a sign your bladder and pelvic floor may need support. Pelvic physical therapy can help address the root cause and improve how your bladder functions.

Leak with coughing or sneezing and feel sudden, hard-to-ignore urges to p*e? You may be dealing with mixed incontinence—a combination of stress and urge incontinence.

This means your bladder and pelvic floor need both strength and better coordination. One-size-fits-all advice won’t cut it, and this is why guessing with exercises often leads to frustration.

The good news? Pelvic physical therapy addresses both components so you can move, exercise, and live with more confidence—without planning your day around the bathroom.
