We are proud to announce that the St. Louis College of Pharmacy team has won the National Health Disparities Focused award!

We would like to extend our warmest thank you to every single student pharmacist that has helped in our health fairs, as well as to all the individuals that have followed our progress here. We are also extremely proud to speak to the health disparities found in St. Louis on a national level:

"St. Louis is known for its music, arts, sports, and food culture. The city and its surrounding areas also have a very diverse population. However, despite such a rich history, St. Louis continues to struggle to close many of the cultural divides still present throughout the area. Resources and opportunities are not equally distributed throughout the area. Although large efforts from different groups and organizations have been made, the city and some of its surrounding areas continue to have a large number of complex public health issues that plague the region."

Script Your Future is proud to partner with The Medicine Shoppe Pharmacy, a St. Louis independent pharmacy chain. Independent pharmacists play a critical role in helping patients navigate through their healthcare choices. Knowing that adherence goes down as out-of-pocket cost of drugs go up, independent pharmacies are becoming even more important.

Pevely Medicine Shoppe is providing their patients with different medication adherence techniques to help keep their patients more adherent, and Script Your Future wallet cards make the perfect companion!

Script Your Future is proud to collaborate with Asian American Association, Pay it Forward, and NCPA to provide our upcoming community outreach events!

Activities will include educating patients on the importance of medication adherence by passing out medication wallet cards and raising awareness about medication adherence as a critical public health issue.

"Today’s medications are better than ever at treating and curing people, but these treatments can only work if patients know the importance of taking their prescriptions as directed. It takes all members of the health team to make that happen, and pharmacists play a big role in that circle of trust"

**Students do not have to be in the professional program to participate**
