Most people know about the Moro reflex- the startle reflex a baby has when they hear a loud noise and fling their arms and legs into the air.

However, knowledge about reflexes often stops there. People don’t realize how connected almost everything your child is experiencing could be traced back to an unintegrated reflex.

The coolest thing about this process is the unexpected benefits you experience.

W’s mom brought him in to make sure his body was aligned after having heart surgery. She worried he compensated on one side because of his incision scar.

When I did my assessment, I immediately noticed he was very ticklish on his back, which can be a sign of an unintegrated Spinal Galant reflex . I asked her if he wet the bed as the two can be correlated, and she responded with a surprised, “Yes!”

I gently guided him through the MNRI protocols to target the spot that corresponds with this reflex and gave it the proper stimulation.

Mom was shocked after two sessions how much better his coordination seemed to be, and she excitedly reported that he hadn’t wet the bed since we started working together.

We are currently doing exercises to help him stop sucking his thumb.

When I say reflexes are related to everything, they really can help with everything you might be facing.

Often clients come to me as a last resort. They’ve tried all the things, and they aren’t getting anywhere.

Deep down they know there’s something else is going on, but they aren’t sure what that is.
