This afternoon, students in Assistant Professor Michael Nolan’s class assessed cardiovascular fitness levels using VO2 max testing. A VO2 max test is often performed on a treadmill or bicycle while connected to a machine that analyzes expired air. The test provides data on how much oxygen is used when exercising and measures the maximum oxygen that can be consumed during exercise.
