So thankful this family trusted me to support them during such a hard and overwhelming season ❤️As a mom who has been there myself, I know first hand how feeding struggles can take such a toll on the whole family, which is why helping parents find simple, realistic ways to make everyday life feel easier means so much to me. Watching feeding go from stressful to calm and connected again is something I never take for granted. 🫶

If feeding has felt harder than you expected, know that you don’t have to navigate it alone. Let’s set up a time to chat about if physical therapy can help!

Sometimes feeding struggles are about more than just the mouth 🤍 A baby’s posture, tension, nervous system, and comfort all play a role in how feeding feels and goes for both baby and parent. Physical therapy can help with all of this to make it a calm and enjoyable experience ✨

You do not have to “just push through it.” Help and support are here. Let’s support you both, together!

Sometimes these little things aren’t “just a phase” or “just their personality” 🤍 They can actually be signs that certain movements feel harder for your child’s body right now:

• Avoiding the playground or always asking for help → they may feel unsteady, unsure, or not confident in their body
• Tripping or falling often → their balance, coordination, or body awareness may need extra support
• Having a hard time jumping with both feet → jumping takes more strength and coordination than most people realize
• Still doing 2 feet on each stair after age 3 or crawling or using hands on stairs→ they may be lacking balance, strength, or confidence on one leg
• Struggling to put pants on standing up → balancing on one foot and staying upright can be really tricky

And the good news? These are all things pediatric PT can help with through play 💛 Sometimes a little extra help can make everyday things feel easier, safer, and way more fun.

If more than one of these sounds familiar, this is your sign to stop wondering if you should reach out 🫶🏼 Dr Alyssa is here to help St Louis & local families at 314-626-3214 or see links in the bio!

Life with kids is messy, busy, loud, and unpredictable… so why should therapy only happen in a clinic room? 🤍

One of the biggest things that sets my care apart is that sessions can happen where your child’s real life happens at home, daycare, the park, their favorite playroom, gymnastics gym, or anywhere else meaningful to them and your family.

Because the goal isn’t just doing a skill in therapy. It’s helping it carry over into everyday life. ✨No “one size fits all” care. Just individualized, connection-first pediatric physical therapy that meets your child where they are.

Summer shoe shopping as a parent can feel SO overwhelming 😅👟

As a pediatric physical therapist (and mom of 2), I’m always looking for shoes that support movement instead of making it harder for little feet to do their job.

Here’s what I typically look for 👇🏼
✔️ wide toe box so toes can spread naturally
✔️ flexible sole for better movement & balance
✔️ secure heel/adjustable straps for stability
✔️ lightweight shoes that don’t make kids work harder to walk, run, and play

And yes… I know Crocs are convenient 😂 but if your little one is constantly tripping, toe gripping, or seeming unstable while walking/running, their shoes might be playing a role.

Remember: there’s no such thing as a “perfect” shoe for every child. The best shoe is the one that fits YOUR child’s foot, supports their movement needs, and allows them to play confidently 💛

Save this for your next Target or back-to-school shoe run 👟 & comment your child’s favorite shoe right now ⬇️

Most parents have heard the blowing bubbles hack to help your kiddo struggling to 💩 but breathing is only a piece of the puzzle!

We also need the pelvic floor to truly relax while working with the core & diaphragm for the ✨magic✨ to happen! Next time your little one is sitting and struggling to go either p*e or p**p, try some of these out!

Still struggling with difficulty going 1️⃣ or 2️⃣? Feel like you’re constantly battling a cycle of withholding 💧&/or 💩? Noticing your child waiting too long or holding it in when they clearly need to go? Pelvic floor PT can help 🎉 Reach out to Dr Alyssa at 314-626-3214 or visit the link in the bio for more information!

Imagine how much less stress, confusion, and reactive care our kids would need if families were supported from the very beginning 😲

Birth and the postpartum transition are a HUGE adjustment for both babies and parents. Feeding challenges, tension preferences, tummy time struggles, flat spots, reflux discomfort, movement concerns, developmental questions that can happen from the very beginning ‼️

What if early guidance, hands-on support, and education were just a normal part of newborn care? Standardized care not because something is “wrong”… but because families deserve to feel confident, supported, and empowered from the start 👏

Parents, this is your reminder that you do not need to wait until things feel “bad enough” to ask for support 🤍 Milestone coaching sessions can start as early as 1 week old and are designed to help make parenting feel easier, less stressful, and more enjoyable from the very beginning. Reach out to Dr Alyssa at 314-626-3214 or visit the link in the bio for more info ✨

Because sometimes a little guidance early on can make a huge difference 💫

You don’t have to wait until something feels “serious enough” to get support 🤍

Sometimes families need ongoing pediatric physical therapy care for deeper functional concerns and sometimes they just want reassurance, guidance, education, and practical ideas to support their child’s development at home! That’s exactly why I offer both ✨

Whether you’re:
• wondering if your baby’s movement is typical
• wanting help with tummy time, crawling, walking, or transitions
• noticing toe walking, frequent falls, W-sitting, or coordination differences
• feeling like it’s a constant battle with something else going on potty training
• or simply wanting confidence in how to support your child…

…there’s an option designed to meet your family where you are 💛

Still not sure which is the best fit? That’s okay, we can figure it out together!
