Please never forget
How brave it is
To continue to show up
In a story
that looks so
Different than what
You thought it’d be.

Please never forget
How brave it is
To dream up next chapters
While honoring the ones
That closed so painfully.

Please never forget
How brave it is,
To continue
To explore next pages
Despite feeling
Fear and anxiety.

Please never forget
How brave it is,
To hope and dream
Amidst the uncertainty.

Imagine growing up never questioning your right to exist exactly as you are.

No shrinking. No performing. No striving for worth.

That’s the gift we offer when we protect our children’s right to show up fully — with their quirks, their questions, their voice, their truth.

Because being yourself shouldn’t be a luxury.
It shouldn’t come at the cost of belonging.
It should BE belonging.

So we show them what that looks like — by being brave enough to live it ourselves.

Not perfectly, but honestly.

And we remind them as many times as it takes:
You don’t have to earn your place.
You already belong.
Always. ❤️

“GOYA” 😜

“GOYA” 😜

The next time you’re stuck, overwhelmed, or procrastinating…

Buy a can of Goya beans.

Sounds ridiculous, right?

That’s what I thought too — until I heard this story from a business mentor I respect.

He was working with a business owner who just couldn’t move forward.

Stuck in his head. Overthinking everything.

He knew what needed to be done… but wasn’t doing any of it.

So the mentor gave him one task:

“Go to the store and buy a can of Goya beans.”

The guy said, “Wait… what? Why?”

And the mentor replied:

“No questions. Just go. Buy the beans. Take a picture. Send it to me.”

So he did. Still confused.

Goes to the store, grabs a random can of Goya beans, comes home, snaps a pic, sends it.

The mentor calls and says:

“Perfect. Now you get it.”

He’s like, “Get what?”

And the mentor says:

“It’s not about the beans. It’s about movement. It’s about breaking the cycle of inaction. You don’t need the perfect next step. You just need a next step.”

Then he told him:

“Keep that can of Goya beans on your desk. Every time you feel stuck…

Every time you want to overthink instead of act…

Look at that can and remember:

GOYA = Get Off Your Ass.”

I love that.

Because as business owners, we don’t always need more strategy.

Sometimes we just need to move.

Even if it starts with a can of beans.

Today's BOOK PICK emphasizes the dire need for boundaries in your relationships.
"Healthy boundaries. We all know we should have them--in order to achieve work/life balance, cope with toxic people, and enjoy rewarding relationships with partners, friends, and family. Licensed counselor, sought-after relationship expert, and one of the most influential therapists on Instagram Nedra Glover Tawwab demystifies this complex topic for today's world. In a relatable and inclusive tone, Set Boundaries, Find Peace presents simple-yet-powerful ways to establish healthy boundaries in all aspects of life. Rooted in the latest research and best practices used in cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), these techniques help us identify and express our needs clearly and without apology--and unravel a root problem behind codependency, power struggles, anxiety, depression, burnout, and more." https://amzn.to/40ANs7l
