The Moon returns to the Beehive. 💫

Every 27 days, the Moon's orbit carries it past M44, the Beehive Cluster, in Cancer. On the evening of April 24, a 44% illuminated crescent Moon sits near the cluster in the western sky after sunset. This time, the thinner crescent actually works in your favor. Less moonlight means less glare, and the Beehive's brighter stars are easier to pick out through binoculars than they were during last month's visit.

🔭 Find the Moon between Jupiter (in Gemini, to the west) and Regulus (in Leo, to the east). The Beehive is the faint misty patch nearby. Through binoculars, that mist becomes dozens of individual stars. No telescope needed. Just a pair of binoculars and a clear view of the western sky about an hour after sunset 🌙🐝

I've been seeing the far left blow up over this topic and it's getting ridiculous. Pagans are throwing curses left and right at the president unnecessarily! Paganism is not inherently political. Just because a political leader consults a pagan for advice does not make paganism intertwined with politics. Lots of card readers read for politicians that does not make them political most of them probably even read for politicians they don't even agree with their policies just to make a buck.

Don't drink the Kool-Aid. Think for yourself!

Seven years without cigarettes...go me... it was extremely hard to do especially because in my religious practices we have to smoke ci**rs. But I'm able to Puff a cigar for Spiritual purposes and not smoke one afterwards for pleasure.

When you try to summon Oshun... at an altar and you are not crowned in that religion. You will summon a trickster spirit not Oshun... and they will perform quote unquote tricks for you.. they may even complete tasks that you ask them to do.. but eventually they will start to drain you.. they will become attached to you, drain your life force and kill you!

One thing I don't do is mince words, I don't sugarcoat, I don't make it safe for you to digest, I tell you the truth. And I'm telling you you are not summoning who you think you are and this goes for any religion.. if you don't know what you're doing don't set up an altar get a teacher first.. even in hoodoo and conjure they talk about trickster Spirits coming to your altar instead of the spirit or Saint you are trying to get. The spirit world is a tricky place best navigated with a guide. I can help you here I know santero, Babalawos, and I teach Hoodoo and I know paleros as well as I am a Yaya.

It's not that hard to find a teacher if you are meant to be in that tradition one will come to you eventually. But don't go knocking on doors you don't know who's on the other side or you don't know them at all or have no introduction by a teacher. It seems nice to set up altars but it is actually a dangerous portal that you are putting in your house if you don't know what you're doing

Day 27: The Choosing of the Queens

The maps of the marrow lead back to the hearth. The gathering forms in its own time. The search begins for the living mirrors of the season. This is the day the Queens are chosen.

One rises in lightness, marked by the lift of sap and the opening of the primrose. The crown of flowers waits for her. She carries what is coming.

The other stands in the strength of the root, holding the long endurance of the dark. Wool and skin remember her shape. She carries what has been.

A deep honor lives in both. Each holds a truth remembered by the land.

They stand at the edge of the field, holding the year between them.

The banners begin to take form. Songs move through the air. The space prepares itself. The welcome grows.

The choosing settles into the land. What follows arrives in its own time.
