St. Paul Engraving utilizes the latest 5 axis laser technology and advancements to help optimize on project quality & turn around time. Take a look!

Our latest 5 axis laser S 600 series machine was added to our family of lasers in 2020. The laser S series offers unparalleled agility without compromising product quality or efficiency. The laser S 600 utilizes a Z focus shifter and dual flexi-pulse sources; paired with a robotic 3R dynafix and macro pallet changing system we are able to provide 24/7 operating capabilities.

Featuring an automated palletizing system the laser 1000 allows us to run/produce 24 hours in a day. This machine has a 50 watt laser source that is ideal for laser texturing and engraving small consumer goods, small bottle molds, medical tools, and small automotive parts with high detail and precision.

The laser 1200 is ideal for medium to large components, multi-cavity molds, automotive molds and much more.

The Z focus shifter paired with dual flexi-pulse sources adds a new level of quality to laser texturing, engraving and micromachining not previously achievable. The Flexi-pulse sources have the ability to adjust the pulse duration from 4-200 microseconds. This allows for greater control of surface finish while minimizing burr or recast and reducing micro fracturing.

Laser texturing is a complete digital process allowing even the most complex custom patterns to be rendered digitally giving the customer the opportunity to make any final adjustments prior to any texture being applied.

Our process is below:
- First, we start with your mold design as a stp or iges file we select the surfaces to be textured.
- Next, we mesh and flatten the surfaces the pattern is to be applied to.
*With the use of high-resolution gray scale images, the pattern is applied to the mesh allowing us to achieve seamless patterns with minimal deformation on even the most complex geometries.
- From here the renderings are created of what the finished part will look like; enabling designers the opportunity to apply final adjustments.
