What are YOU eating in the middle of the night when you’re up feeding the new baby?! These are the plates I have made for a recent client. They have a mix of things she likes and things she needs. I try to aim for something crunchy, something soft, something salty, something sweet, something high in protein, something with a little carbs, and a good fat too! I also like to add one little treat usually a chocolate in this case it’s one little package of fruit snacks that mom loves! I add something with good hydration on the side that isn’t water! What about you?! Are you staying fed and hydrated too!?

I met Sidnee on the train ride home from my 1/2 work, 1/2 play trip to Sunny Fl for over two weeks! She was a whole entire ball of all the emotions! ALL. OF. THEM!! 😂🙏🥰 I love how divine intervention works though she is just being a good friend headed to somebody who just had a new baby. She was telling me I don’t know what to do. I don’t even know why I’m going, but I want to be a good friend and try to help my friend. Do you have any ideas on how to help a new mom who just had a baby? I simply answered her and didn’t tell her my job at all. I’m so glad I sat next to her! At the very end of her trip, she was packing up for her stop and said by the way, what do you do for a job? You’re so peaceful and calm. You have great energy! I hesitated a bit, but I told her I was a student Midwife and Burth and Postpartum Doula now specializing in newborn and immediate postpartum care for moms too and I’ve been in the Birth world for 25 years helping new moms have babies and with their immediate postpartum. She was like “that makes sense so much sense for your life!! That’s your job of course it is!!” Everyone was looking at us at that point and she literally walked off the train right after that. 😂😂🥰- loved my time with her and so thankful we were both there at the same time!
