We proudly serve patients across all of Virginia and the Washington, DC metro area and currently have openings with 1 week for new patient appointments. Our goal is to provide quality, accessible mental health care for individuals and families. 💚

We also have Arabic and Spanish-speaking staff and providers to better support the diverse communities we serve. 🌎

We offer virtual medication management appointments, allowing patients to receive care from the comfort of home. Telehealth can provide:

🧠 Services We Offer

Virtual Medication Management (Ages 3–55)
Comprehensive psychiatric/pharmacological evaluations and ongoing medication management provided through secure telehealth visits.

Transcranial Magnetic Stimulation (TMS) (Ages 15+) ⚡
TMS is a non-invasive, FDA-approved treatment that uses targeted magnetic pulses to stimulate areas of the brain involved in mood regulation. It is commonly used for medication-resistant depression, anxiety, and obsessive-compulsive disorder (OCD) and does not require anesthesia or sedation.

📌 TMS eligibility is subject to the requirements and restrictions of the patient’s insurance plan.

Spravato Treatment (Ages 18+) 💧
Spravato is an FDA-approved nasal spray treatment for adults with treatment-resistant depression. It works differently than traditional antidepressants and is administered under medical supervision as part of a comprehensive treatment plan.

📌 Some plans require a primary care provider referral for optimal coverage/in-network benefits.

💲 Self-pay options available for uninsured or under-insured patients.

Altahir Behavioral Health provides psychiatric medication management and specialty treatments. We do not provide therapy or in-depth psychological/developmental evaluations.

Holiday Hours Update:

Altahir Behavioral Health will be closed for the following days:
