Trust the process 🥹👏🏾🌀

I was obsessed with flat ironing why hair while it was still wet which ultimately let to my hair frying .. in 2010 I chopped all of my hair off & have been experimenting new ways to have fun with my curls.

Regardless of which stage your in throughout the transition process.. embrace it and get creative. I promise it’ll be worth it 🤍

Side note: my obsession with Paramore, Three days grace & 30H!3 had a huge influence on my hair & makeup at the time 😂

- started my morning with my favorite spiced rooibos tea by & my favorite personal development podcast by

- took a trip to urgent care to get tested for covid/flu .. it was negative!

- made my way to the pharmacy to pick up my prescription

- picked up some breakfast & lunch at the grocery store

- sat in my car for a few minutes to think about how blessed I am to see another day.

I’ll be working from home for the rest of the day while I fight off this cold.

Life Of A 9-5’er 🗃

I love my job. I truly do. I work 9am to 5pm, 5 days a week as a Human Resources Executive in NYC & Long Island. I get to enjoy my weekends doing whatever I please. But what I don’t love is not having control over my income & hours. I don’t know about you, but I don’t love my salary being capped regardless of how much work is put into my job. Having to wait an entire year for a 2-5% salary increase based on performance is a bit insane.

The older I get the more responsibilities I take on & of course that means more bills. I started my e-commerce wellness business to provide myself with extra spending for date nights or to contribute to our weekend getaways & now I’m planning for it to be my main source of income & just bought my first car!

I never saw myself being an entrepreneur .. I was a Music major minoring in Sociology. I really saw myself being a Music Education Teacher or working as a Social Worker. Over the years, I’ve invested in myself so much & I’m starting to see that I’ve created a path that allows me to be a leader, entrepreneur & a wellness advocate. Arbonne has really helped me to get to where I am now & I love being able to share this opportunity with you all.

I don’t see many women of color in the network marketing industry.

For years I’ve seen photos floating through social media of groups of women celebrating one another’s success in their network marketing businesses. Going on team retreats to beautiful countries around the world & seeing cute photos of a work date at a cafe. But in all those photos, they were rarely women of color.

I truly believe we don’t have more women of color in network marketing because it’s not something we commonly see. The lack of representation didn’t turn me away. It gave me the purpose to make room for others who look like me.

This industry allows us to tell our story, our truth & connect with others who are looking to make an change in their lives. Whether that’s financial freedom, freedom of time, or a lifestyle change.

One of the very first connections I made upon starting my business was with a beautiful woman of color in the UK who reached out to me because of a post I made about racial discrimination in my former corporate job. My truth compelled her to share her story with me & we later became business partners because she also wanted to be a part of something that valued her time, efforts & existence.

The lack of representation didn’t turn US away from pursuing what we felt called to do. We’re working to be part of the top 1% in our network & I want to ensure that when women of color are interested in joining our network marketing business, they see US! They see that it is possible to be successful in this business 🖤
