✨ PLATELET RICH PLASMA 🩸
I have an Ironman 70.3 this coming weekend which leads me to discuss how to keep our knees active in the aging process.

Platelet rich plasma is a knee injection that we give made from the patient’s own blood and injects growth factors to increase healing of cartilage injuries and decreases inflammation and pain.

▫️Lateral extra-articular tenodesis (LET) is a procedure that can be performed in association with an ACL reconstruction.
▫️The LET procedure is complementary to an ACL surgery by increasing rotational stability, decreasing re-tear rates, and improving return to play.
