What a great event! Last evening at BETTER TOGETHER - A Chronic Disease Management Support Group for Greene Co., the UVA Health Comprehensive Cancer Center 'Stay in the Game' team joined us and we had an informative session on prostate cancer. There were excellent presentations, good questions, yummy food, and the sharing of personal stories. We want to thank the 'Stay in the Game' team for joining us in Greene County for an important conversation about prostate cancer!

Just a reminder of our hours each week... the Greene Care Clinic is OPEN to SCHEDULED appointments on Monday and Thursday mornings - please call us at (434) 985-7000 to discuss your eligibility or to schedule an appointment. If we don't answer, please leave a message and we will get back to you. Our Community Medical Supply Closet is OPEN every Monday and Saturday morning from 10 am - 11 am. Stop by - we'd love to help you find something you need. We are here to help. ❤

It was a busy morning at our Community Medical Supply Closet today - it's always nice when folks stop by, needing something, and we can help them. ❤ We have a lot of different items at the Closet, from wheelchairs, walkers, and a nice knee scooter, to bladder/incontinence liners and different sizes of adult briefs, to ankle, knee and wrist braces, reading glasses (all +3.00), bandages/pads, bedside commodes and more! ❤ The items that we have available change based on the donations we receive, and all items are free and available first-come, first-serve. We are located on Ford Ave, in Stanardsville, across from the Courthouse, and we are OPEN on Mondays and Saturdays from 10 am - 11 am. Please stop by and see if we have something you need. ❤

The Virginia Association of Free & Charitable Clinics are wonderful advocates for their member free and charitable clinics across Virginia (clinics like ours!). Like them, we feel that everyone deserves access to quality health care. The Greene Care Clinic is committed to providing the best care we can to uninsured residents of Greene County, VA.

The Virginia Association of Free & Charitable Clinics has released its Strategic Framework for 2026-2028 which features four strategic priorities that drive member services, advocacy efforts, stakeholder collaboration, resource utilization, staff structure, and board membership. They are designed to adapt to a constantly changing healthcare landscape.
