Before they can walk, our little ones learn to crawl on all fours. When they get older, they should learn that getting low and crawling to an exit is the best way to navigate their home in the event of a fire to avoid smoke. Fire safety doesn’t have to feel scary! Turning learning into a game can help kids remember what to do in an emergency. As you play and practice together, remember to:
🚪 Create and practice a home fire escape plan, with two ways out of every room
🏠 Choose a safe meeting spot outside your home
🔥 If there’s smoke, get low and crawl to an exit
🚒 Leave immediately and call 911 once you’re safely outside
When families practice together, safety becomes second nature! To learn more: https://www.safekids.org/tip/fire-safety-tips

We’ll be visiting schools in Grant City, Albany, Stanberry, King City, Union Star, Maysville, Osborn, and Stewartsville this April to give school vaccines. 🏫💉

We will be giving the vaccines required for 7th and 11th graders who have turned in consent forms.
These include vaccines that protect against meningitis and whooping cough (pertussis).

If you would like your child to receive other recommended vaccines (like HPV or the meningitis B vaccine), just let us know and we can bring those too.

📌 All consent forms must be turned in to the school by the end of February.

Didn’t get a form? That’s okay — you can print them here:
Consent form (needed for all vaccines):

Extra form required for the meningitis vaccine:

✅ Reminder:
• Vaccines for meningitis and whooping cough are required before 8th grade
• A meningitis booster is required before 12th grade
