Navigating grief during the holidays can feel complicated — especially when the world around you is celebrating.

This season can stir up old memories, deepen the ache of missing someone, or make everything feel just a little heavier. If that’s where you are right now, you’re not alone. Truly.

In our first-ever Flourish Community Event, author Kathryn Henry and our CEO Dr. Xuan Zhao led a small, heartfelt conversation about healing while grieving — inspired by Kathryn’s beautiful memoir A Dime to Say I Love You: A Journey of Love, Loss, and Spiritual Awakening.

One idea Kathryn shared has stayed with us: “dime moments.”
Those tiny, unexpected flashes of connection that show up right when you need them most — gentle reminders that love doesn’t disappear; it just changes shape.
