The Office of Accessible Education (OAE) supports Stanford students with disabilities by facilitatin

The Office of Accessible Education (OAE) is the campus office designated to work with Stanford students with disabilities, at both the undergraduate and graduate levels (including the professional schools). The OAE provides a wide array of support services, accommodations, and programs to remove barriers to full participation in the life of the University. In reaching its determinations about appr

opriate accommodations, the OAE considers factors such as the documentation from professionals specializing in the area of the student’s diagnosed disability, the student’s functional limitations, and the student’s input and accommodation history in regard to particular needs and limitations. The OAE then works with the student and relevant faculty and staff through an interactive process designed to achieve an accommodation that meets the needs of all parties.

Join OAE and Student Housing Assignments staff for an informal Q&A session to ask any questions about the housing accommodation and housing application process. The Summer 2025 and Academic Year 2025-26 Housing Accommodation Request form is due on Friday March, 14th at 11:59 pm.

Important Notice: 2025-2026 Undergraduate Housing Accommodations

If you are an Undergraduate or Co-Term with Undergraduate Housing eligibility seeking housing accommodations for summer quarter, and/or the 2025-2026 academic year, please complete all of these required steps by March 14th, 2025 at 11:59pm PST:

- Register with the Office of Accessible Education (OAE) by March 10th, 2025

- Submit your 2025-2026 Undergraduate Housing Accommodation Request Form (HARF) through OAE | Connect (located on the Housing and Dining tab). Supporting documentation can be uploaded to your files when you register with OAE. You may also email, fax, or hand deliver them to our office.

- Complete your Housing Application in Axess (opens on March 3rd).

Meeting the March 14th deadline ensures your request will be considered during the first round of housing assignments. If you submit your HARF after this deadline, you'll enter our "Rolling HARF" process, which means:

- Your request will be added to a waitlist

- Your disability-related reassignment will come after the first round of assignments.

- The timing of your disability-related reassignment will depend on when a space that meets your needs becomes available.
