January is Glaucoma Awareness Month

Glaucoma is the leading cause of vision loss and blindness in the United States according to the National Eye Institute.

Glaucoma has no early symptoms. The only way to check for it is to have a comprehensive dilated eye exam.

Anyone can get Glaucoma but some people are at a higher risk, including:
1. Anyone over 60 years of age
2. Black/African American
2. Asian American
3. Hispanic/Latino
4. Anyone with a Family History

Make sure you have your Annual Comprehensive Eye Exam every year.
