🩷Why I love what I do? Being a part of helping patients feel better and providing support where they are vulnerable is very rewarding! I want my patients to always know they are not alone.

🩷 Why did you choose healthcare? Even as a child I was interested in how the body worked and was fascinated by illnesses and all things related to Science. My favorite toy was a Fischer Price Medical Kit I received when I was 3 years old.

🩷 Favorite part of your day? When my husband brings me a cup of coffee while I’m still in bed….. every… single…. Morning 💕

🩷Most rewarding part of your job? Seeing relief on my patients face when I reassure them I can help them and being a supporter of their emotional and physical needs.

🩷One thing you would want your patients to know about you? I will always listen, take your concerns seriously and be thorough in your medical work up and care!

Our staff had the best time this week celebrating our sweet Makayla and the upcoming arrival of baby Cooper! 👶💙

💙 March is Colorectal Cancer Awareness Month 💙

Colorectal cancer is one of the most common cancers in the United States, but when caught early, it is also one of the most preventable and treatable. Screening saves lives!

If you are 45 or older, or have a family history of colorectal cancer, it’s important to talk with your provider about screening options. Many people have no symptoms in the early stages, which is why routine screenings are so important.

At Bates, Miller & Sims, we are here to help you stay proactive about your health. If you have questions about screenings or are due for a checkup, give our office a call to schedule an appointment.

We want to share an important update with our OB patients.

Our provider’s hospital privileges for delivery were not approved at this time. We understand this news may be upsetting, and we sincerely apologize for the impact this may have on your plans and expectations.

Please keep your regularly scheduled appointment so we can personally discuss next steps and review your care plan together.

Patients who are closer to their delivery date will receive a call from our office staff within the next few days.
