Happy Holidays from Stanford Sports Medicine!🎄This year we continued our tradition of giving back to the community through gift donations through the Salvation Army of Silicon Valley Adopt-A-Family program.🎁

Adopt-A-Family is a Salvation Army holiday program designed to assist families who are in crisis as a result of unemployment, homelessness, medical issues or other difficult circumstances, and who otherwise wouldn’t have the resources to celebrate the holidays. This program provides a wonderful holiday experience for families at a critical time in their lives.

This year we were able to support 3 families in the community!🎉 Thank you to everyone who contributed!

Congratulations to Vien Vu for being recognized as a 2024 Emerging Leader by the American Physical Therapy Association! Your work ethic and passion for bettering our student athletes doesn’t go unnoticed, thanks for all you do!🤓🌲

Awardees in the APTA Emerging Leaders Program are PTs or PTAs who have “demonstrated exceptional service” in their first five to 10 years after graduation. These individuals — nominated by their chapter or academy/section — have a record of accomplishment and contributions to the profession, their component, and the association. Each component can nominate one PT or PTA for the award.
