March is Colorectal Cancer Awareness Month 💙

Our staff wore blue to help raise awareness about colorectal cancer and the importance of screening. Colorectal cancer is one of the most preventable cancers when detected early, yet many people delay or avoid screening.

Screening Recommendations:
• Adults at average risk should begin screening at age 45
• Screening may include colonoscopy, stool-based tests, or other provider-recommended options
• Those with a family history or higher risk may need to begin screening earlier

Regular screening can detect precancerous polyps before they turn into cancer and can identify cancer early when it is most treatable.

If you are 45 or older and have not been screened, now is a great time to talk with your provider about the best screening option for you.

📞 Call our office today at 606-669-6006 to schedule an appointment to discuss your screening options.

Early detection saves lives. Get screened. 💙

We want to take a moment to share an important update with the families we care for and the communities we serve.

Recently, Ephraim McDowell Fort Logan Hospital announced the upcoming closure of its inpatient Labor & Delivery services. Following this decision, our Women’s Care of the Commonwealth providers will discontinue obstetrical call coverage at Ephraim McDowell Regional Medical Center.

Please know that our commitment to you has not changed. We will continue providing comprehensive outpatient prenatal and gynecological care. Our experienced team is working closely with each affected patient to ensure a safe, thoughtful transition for hospital deliveries at nearby facilities over the coming weeks.

We understand that changes in maternity services can feel overwhelming, especially during such an important season of life. Our providers and staff are here to walk alongside you, answer your questions, and help you feel confident in your care plan.

We encourage you to read the full statement linked below for complete details and to call our office at 859-236-7712 if you would like to speak with a member of our team. You and your growing family remain at the heart of everything we do.
