Stanford University Postdoctoral Association SURPAS is a volunteer advocacy forum with the aim of enhancing and enriching the postdoc experience SURPAS is governed by the Council.

The Stanford University Postdoctoral Association (SURPAS) was founded in 1998 to promote a community among Postdoctoral Scholars at Stanford University. The Council was formed in Spring of 1999, and addresses issues related to Postdoctoral Scholars at Stanford. The Council functions in Advocacy and helps to maintain a social structure within the postdoctoral community.

🎉 Our first-ever SURPAS Postdoc Festival brought together over 500 postdocs and their families for a celebration of creativity, culture, and connection 🫂

From the lab bench to the stage, we enjoyed more than 50 performances, including music, dance, poetry, and art, showcasing the diverse talents of our postdoctoral community 🫶

🍽️ We savored delicious dishes from multiple cuisines, 🎈 kids played games and enjoyed activities, and everyone joined in the fun!

A big thank you to our Festival Committee and all the volunteers who made this possible! 🙌
